Hi Rob;
The main thing that turned me off about the PK is the fact that you can
not print or emboss from it. I love my 32 cell, 7.0 bt M-power. My
faboret feature is the recording ability. If you can afford it, I think
you will find a 32 cell easier to use than an 18 cell.

Subject: re: [Braillenote] mPower BT18 VS PK

Hi Rob,
I've seen PK before on CSUN conferences and
found that it is very small. In terms of
size, mPower is larger than the PK. The PK
is like the size of a modern Pocket PC,
whereas MPower is the size of a handheld PC.
In order to really see them at real life
situations, you'll need to see them firsthand
at the trade shows and assistive technology
conferences.
In terms of technical specs, MPower is a bit
faster than PK (400 MHz versus 416 MHz). The
memory in mPower is 64 MB RAM/128 MB Flash,
whereas in PK it is 40 MB RAM/16 MB Flash.
For intended market: PK is designed for busy
professionals who wants to have a feel of
Pocket PC with the familiar KeySoft
interface, whereas mPower is designed for
ordinary and power users who want more
functionality on a small device.
Cheers,
Joseph
