If you use Window-Eyes, Vista is quite accessible including Office 2007. I
haven't gone to Vista, but I am a beta tester for GW Micro and am on their
lists.
In fact, for the first release of a new operating system from Microsoft,
Vista is turning out to be more accessible from the start than XP, or any
previous Microsoft operating system. Again, if one is using Window-Eyes.
Freedom Box also has a version for Vista.

Jose and List,

I'm on a Tech List, unrelated to the BN. There are a few
Assistive Technology Specialists on that List, as well as some
consumers with cnsiderable expertise.

>From what I have been reading, VISTA, right now, is not
completely accessible to those of us using Assitive Technology..

As a rule, when Microsoft puts a new Version of Windows on the
Market, accessiblity is an issue.

Frankly, it might be wise to wait abit before installing Vista
and upgrading from XP). However, I also understood, that you
can have 2 Versions of Windows on your laptop or PC, contingent
upon the amount of Gigabytes. If that is the case, Jose could
reinstall XP and hold the fort until any accessiblity issues in
Vista are resolved.
