I was reading some information on the Bill Moyers' PBS series "Faith and Reason." In one of the sessions, Moyers interviews Salman Rushdie. If you read his name with the BrailleNote it comes out "rushouldie." The Braillenote doesn't seem to understand that the sh sign followed by the letter d only stands for should when it is the start of a word. It NEVER means should when it happens to appear inside a word. This is not the only problem with the BrailleNote interpreting contracted braille in the wrong way. It is just the most recent example.
I've been off this list for several months. I trust Humanware staff still read this list. Richard ___ To leave the BrailleNote list, send a blank message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To view the list archives or change your preferences, visit http://list.humanware.com/mailman/listinfo/braillenote
