thanks very much for your suggestion, but sorry, it doesn't work.
when i try to turn the braille display on, i get a click sound,
as though it's trying to turn the display on, a long beep, then
the message saying that the braille display is on operating.

Hi Richard:
I would press Options, then F. I'd try doing that a few times,
turning the thumb keys on, then off. Each time, you'll have to
do the Options, then F. After that, do Options, B. When you see
"Braille Display on, currently no," press Y. Press Enter, and
see if it comes back.

the braille display on my m-power has stopped working and when i
boot up i get a message saying that the braille display is not in
operation.
i've tried all the resets including the record and record buttons
together and it hasn't cured the problem.
i've noticed that all the dots up to and including cell 16 are
slightly raised in the standby position but cannot feel any of
the remaining dots at all.
is there anything else i can try before sending my m-power back
to humanware?
