Well, both CE 5.0 and 6.0 will support object exchange, headset, and other
services via bluetooth. Ce 6.0 has some additional features.

CE 5.0 or 6.0? Why does HumanWare have to lag so far behind and not
support
the most current operating system? It won't be long before cell phones
with
the capability to use a full size external keyboard will be so powerful
that
this product will be obsolete. Two operating systems behind is like
asking
all blind people to use Windows 95 and who would accept that?

Shelley,
Well, the headset won't be recognized by the bluetooth manager in the
BrailleNote, it may detect that there is a headset if you have the headset
in pairing mode, but the headset service is unsupported by the BrailleNote
at the moment, this is a limitation due to Windows CE 4.2, if the
BrailleNote is upgraded to CE 5.0 or 6.0 this issue would be resolved.
But,
for the moment you are able to use a bluetooth dongle that plugs into the
headphone jack of the BrailleNote. The original intent of this dongle was
to
convert a non-bluetooth cell phone and allow for it to use bluetooth
headsets, and I among many others have expanded it to make it work with
the
BrailleNote, it has been prooven especially useful when using the Sendero
GPS. Since the original intent was for a cell phone you will need to
acquire
an adapter that converts a cell phone size jack and converts it to a
standard jack that can be found in the BrailleNote.
The bluetooth headset will be even more exciting with the release of
Sendero
GPS version 4.0, there are some very exciting features in the forth
coming
release of the Sendero GPS, this will be the 7th edition of the Sendero
GPS.

How do I gert the BN to recognize a bluetooth headset, or how does it
work.
I purhased a set from radio Shack hoping ti give them a try to see if
they
worked, I figured if they did then it would be something that I could use
with the GPS.
What do I need to do to try to see if the BN will recognize them?
Thanks.
