Leslie,
Sorry about not addressing the question you had. If you are wanting to use
your PK to connect to a phone and use the modem service on it, that would be
done through bluetooth utalizing the modem service. You can use T-Mobile or
Cingular with a cell phone that supports the modem service. I am currently
doing this through Cingular with a Nokia 6682 and the data plan of
unliminited internet usage. I will sya the hardest thing to do is finding
the proper configuration settings but once that is accomplished the rest is
a breeze.

Leslie,
The wireless card option for the PK is the SanDisk WiFi connect plus 128
MB
of storage. This option is pretty nice especially with the PK it is a
dual-purpose card, it functions both as a wireless card and a storage card
with 128 megs. So, you can be on the net with this card and download files
directly to this card as well. You can purchase this card through
HumanWare
or through some other vender.

Subject: [Braillenote] Air Cards and the Braillenote
Hello all,
The other day I wrote the notetaker which can interface with the air
cards
through Verizon or Cingular Wireless or other carriers would be king as
far
as having truly portable internet and web access is concerned. I was
calling the air cards smart cards but the appropriate name is air cards.
Another advantage to using the air card is one would be able to use their
wireless phone and the braillenote or other device at the same time. The
phone would not be tied up with bluetooth activity. It would be
completely
independent from the PDA. I'm using Braillenote and PDA
interchangeably.
It would be like having a broad band wireless connection and using one's
home phone line at the same time only this would be portable.
How nice it would be if a way could be found for the Braillenote to
utilize
this interface. It doesn't seem likely presently but we can hope and
dream
I suppose. I will say the notetaker which achieves this access will be
king
in my judgment.
