Hi Pam and others;
Good idea Pam. I think high costs is the reason why they came up with
the maintainance agreement. It is hard to deside weather to get one or
not. I did this year, for the first time, because I was covered by
woranties the 2 previous years. In 12 years, we will have payed out in
maintainance fees equal to the value of the machine. It is hard to
deside which is better, a solid fee or huge charges for each cleaning,
and repair and battery. Luckally I have not had to have any repairs as
of yet!

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] About those repairs:

These high prices for repairs are absolutely outrageous for the
average person. It's obvious that these companies cater to agencies
for the most part, so if they're going to charge such high prices for
repairs--why not have one price for agencies, and give the average
person who is spending their own money a break with at least a
somewhat lower cost for repairs.

One would think there could be at least some incentive other than
pride for people who spend their own money rather than tax dollars for
their equipment.
Pam
