it sounds like you want to use active sync. for downloading you need an internet connection, like wireless or phone line. go to the site where the file is, and click the link for the file. use the BN's normal commands to select a drive, and folder, and press enter on the file name to begin the download. also, the braillenote will download any type of files, but it can't use most of them

Does anyone know if zipped files can be downloaded to the BrailleNote? Also, because I am still new to this, can anyone let me know if the steps I apply to downloading are correct?

1.  have the sd card inserted
2.  connect the usb cable to the client port
Then I am stuck. I am going to read up on this and see what happens. If anyone has the time, could you pass those steps on to a BN user for dummies?
