Hi Terry:

If you are talking about Step 11, 4-chord is correct. You didn't specify which one, but I assume you mean Step 11.

Hi Rhonda;
In the e-mail at the bottom, what is the bt equivalent of tab and
you
used 4 chord one place. Did you mean 4,6 chord like you used
throughout
the rest of the steps. I am hand brailling the steps on to the
m-power
so I will have something to follow. I need to find some time and
get
this under my belt. Roger Behm was kind enough and copied the
curnel
books when he downloaded my upgrade.
He walked me through the transferring uf the upgrade and the
dictionary
to my unit. I am now a 7.2.
Bye for now.
I typed things the way you had them. I can just go in and change
the 2
items.
Thanks.
Terry Powers

That message didn't translate well at all. Here goes again,
Kristen:

web site: www dot loc dot gov slash nls slash braille
 1. When you open the NLS site, you will want to go to the
"search the
online catalog section."
 2. Press dots 46-chord to see the Author field. If you know
the
Author, fill it in.
 3. Press 46-chord again, and you will be in the Title field.
You can
either write in your title, or press tab
until you see "KeyWord.
 4. If you have chosen KeyWord, because you know the book
number, write the number in.. Make sure you write it in lower
case.
 5. Press 46-chord until you see "search".
 6. Press Enter.
 7. Press Space until you see http.
 8. Press Enter. At this point, you will log in.
 9. When you see "log in" the first time, press Space until you
see "real braille".
 10. Press Space once more to enter your user name, which is
the one given to you by NLS.
 11. Press dot 4-chord to write in your password.
 12. You will be asked to read a "pledge" form. Tab over with
dots 46-chord until
you see the one that says best for notetakers."
 13. Press Enter.
 14. You'll hear beeps, and when you hear http again, press
S-chord.
 15. Press Backspace at the "folder name" prompt, and make sure
you're in the "drive list" prompt. Select your folder you want
the book to be in.
 16. Write the book name, and Press Enter.
 17. It should pause before saying "saved".
 18. If the book is in more than one volume, press B with Enter
to go back a page.
 19. You'll be at the next volume location. You will see the
"pledge" at each volume, and will need to enter at the one that
says "best for Notetakers." Press Space to get
to the next http prompt. Press Enter. You will hear the HTTP
again. Save by pressing S-chord.

(Note: If a book is in several volumes, you may be blocked out
of the site and have to go back in.
I'm lost -- I cannot find myself.
If I should return before I get back,
