I have gone to visit the lady who has a braillenote classic and I have
successfully hooked it up to her computer so she can use it as a braille
display! I must confess that I am rather surprised that everything worked
out as well as they did because I haven't had my hands on a Braillenote in
years. she has Jaws and we got the unit working very well and this
braillenote is a 2002 model with keysoft 3.06 and this unit has no cf card
slot, so you know it's one of the oldest out there. I was quite surprised
that all worked so well. I just needed to call Jaws for a couple of
clarifications. thank you and all who gave me assistance.

If you're using WindowEyes, plug the BN into the PC's serial port before you
turn on the PC. Then press t from the BN's main menu to put it in terminal
mode. Turn on the PC, go to the WE control panel, access the file menu and
arrow down to "Select braille display." Press enter and then choose the BN
from the list of supported displays. Tab to the port setting and make sure
the port is right and then tab to ok and press enter.
