Hi bob;
I checked the command list and the save command is space with s.  Also
in items like the address book, if you make a change and use space with
e, it will ask if you want to save the changes and you need to put in y
for yes or n for no.

I would like to say that space with for sign should work.  When 
you exit the program it should save the file.  I don't know why 
you are losing files.
