BANA does mention the grade 3 braille code in their manual and they also
mention the braille shorthand code, but they consider these codes useful for
taking notes but the codes have never been officially adopted.

A few things here. BANA has decreed that the terms "grade 1" and "grade 2"
braille be replaced with "uncontracted" and "contracted" braille,
respectively. Grade 3 braille isn't even recognized by BANA, which is
probably why it isn't included with the BN.

to grade 2) and print it off that way so the printer knows what to print.
I don't know how easy this would be to put grade 3 braille in to the
BrailleNote but I think it would be a cool feature for those of us who
want to write in short hand.

with more contractions so I wouldn't think it would be that hard to put
in to the BrailleNote.
