Hi there,
There was a post from someone who explained this in detail... The advantage of having two-piece charger comes when you are traveling abroad. Both types (one-piece and two-piece adapters) can accept from 100 to 240 volt plugs. Some countries, like United States use 110/120 volt plug whereas countries like South Korea and others use 220 volt plug. If you inspect the two-piece charger, you'll notice that it appears to be a miniaturized version of a laptop charging cord (essentially, that's what it is).
Cheers,
Joseph

Hi Robert;
What are the benafits of having the 2 piece
adapter over the old one. I
have 2 of the older model. I have no plans
to leave the US so is it
worth the hassle to get the 2 piece adapter?
Thanks for any imfo.

Hello Terry,
If you want the two piece adapter, call
humanware and tell them
you were supposed to get the two piece
adapter when you got your
m-power and it did not come with it.
They should mail you one free.
This is what they did for me.
Take care,

Robert Stigile

Mary ellen;
Do you have any idea why I did not get a 2
piece adapter when I
got my
transplant. Does this mean they owe me a 2
piece adapter since
they did
not send the right one? I am in the US.
Does that have anything
to do
with it?

I had questions about the new 2 part charger
cord vs the old wall
wart
type.
I thought I had kept the answer but
apparently didn't. You can
still use
the
wall wart type of charger on the mpower but
it is much preferred
you
used
the 2 part charger as it has a greater
voltage capacity.
That is the best I know how to explain it but
in a pinch, like
when I
left
my charger in the security line at Greater
Cincinnati Airport, I
had to
use
the wall wart until Humanware could overnight
me a new charger
and my
Braille Note works just fine.
