Hi William,
It's always been a feature of this ever since BrailleNote was released. There is a display mode called "Layout" that shows what the paper would look like when you actually print or emboss a page. In other words, the display will show you exactly what will appear on paper. For example, if you center a line, the braille display will show you the text that is centtered exactly as it will appear on paper. This method also includes formatting characters such as bold on/off, stalic on/off, etc. Formatting under BrailleNote is not just limited to bold, italic, etc. Under some printer drivers, you can do things such as direct your BrailleNote to use Landscape mode when printing (under HP drivers, default is Portrait mode), use superscript or subscript text, etc.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] formatting

        hi all

having used a pac mate recently as i needed
one, i realized that when
i format a document i.e. make text bold,
centred, underlined etc.
nothing what so ever is shown on my braille
display. does the
braillenote and the latest keysoft address
this issue?
I.e. if i centred text would it show up on
the display in the centre
or just left justified?
thanks, will
