Oh dear, sorry to hear about the loss of your old mPower. However, glad you got a new one now. The only thing I can say about the case is that it's sturdy, made out of some leather-type material, and has a velcro. It seems to protect the unit quite well; I in fact keep the unit in its case for protection. It also has the word "Humanware" in Grade 2 Braille. ----- Original Message ----- From: "JD Townsend" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Subject: [Braillenote] The Case of the mPower

Hi List:

The case of the BrailleNote mPower seems to have changed. Several months ago I had a mPower that died when I fell into a river (along, sad story). With some help the unit was replaced. The new mPower has a slightly different case. The design is the same, but it is stiffer and the velcro is less sticky; the cover would open times no matter how carefully I closed it.

Recently IVe switched cases and I'm happier - tighter fastening, softer feeling.

Was there a change or did I just have the bad luck to get a less than excellent case?
