Actually, my Jaws is older than 4.2 ... lol. It's 4.0, but still
old. Unfortunately I don't have the money needed for new upgrades to
everything right now, and when I do get money for school I plan to save up
so I can upgrade this BrailleNote here, unless I can convince rehab to buy
me one. I'm not holding my breath on that though, but we'll see what happens.
One more thing I forgot to mention in my earlier posts: I tried
experimenting with the spell checker yesterday and I get a message saying
the tthe English language dictionary isn't installed. I'm slightly
confused, since this unit's already been used before. You'd think the
previous owner would want to use a spell checker, but I guess not. I hope
I can get all these kinks worked out, because I really like having
something with a Braille display on it so I'll be able to read books from
Web Braille or Bookshare on it without having to sit at the computer to
read them or bother with translating them into text first before I can read
them, in the case of Web Braille books at least.
I almost live in Alabama actually, about five minutes from the Alabama
border and about two hours south of Nashville. I'm planning on going to
Middle Tennessee State University in the spring, or MTSU for short.

Your Jaws is getting on in years too, but I think JFW 4.2 was a
good release.

JFW is up to version 8.0 now.
