Hello:
In the States one can get your state's blind rehab to buy a
student this equipment. You would need to convince your
blindness counselor that this is essential to your success as a
student, giving specifics. For example being able to read texts
from RFBD in Daisy format would require an upgrade of your unit
as would the use of the greatly improved planner functions - you
could schedule all classes one time instead of risking having to
enter every class every week.
Check out the possibilities and write down how the improved unit
will aid you; another example are the calculator improvements
that will definitely assist in math. Tell them that what you
need is essential for your success.
Remember that their job is to help you get through school so that
you can get a job. So making your student experience better will
help in their goal.
