UEB isn't the answer! If I'm paying almost $400 to upgrade to KS7.5, THE
TRANSLATION HAD BETTER BE RIGHT AND THE BUGS HAD BETTER DISAPPEAR!
I would suggest that braille users demand this!
I plan to cancel my order on Tuesday!

Hello to all!
First, I'd like to ask Sammie, what format are you in? We checked out Ueb
this afternoon, and won't use it unless push comes to shove. ally're
right about contracted braille having a lot of changes with Ueb. The only
suggestion I can see is staying with Us Braille.
Second, you can't put an email on another drive without blocking it off.
How many large emails will the clipboard hold? S far, Chuck and I don't
have the best impressions of this update.

Hello,
Below is a copy of a message I sent to the action and info
addresses. I typed this message in contracted braille two, and
most of the contractions did not convert to a readable format.
Al, anyone listening to this message or reading it with their
fingers will find that the contractions have become new words.
In example using the y for you, at the beginning of the sentence,
the y becomes "ally" because of the dot six in front of it. The
word after using the letters af sounds like aft, al for also
becomes al and the th sign for this becomes th. Something is not
translating correctly. I always spell check my messages and make
sure that all words are spelled correctly. When I proof-read
here, everything looks and sounds exactly as I wrote it, but
after transmitting the recipient gets a very badly translated
copy. With translations like these, I'll be back to typing in
braille one, which is slow and awkward and should never be
necessary with a BrailleNote. Al, these terrible translations
will make it very difficult for me to submit my school work to my
professor. C anything be done about this?

Subject: re: [Braillenote] Saving Email
Hello,
ally are absolutely correct in this observation. I receive
three newspapers each day by e-mail and I've always saved them in
a folder on my compact flash card for later reading. Td, after
installing Keysoft 7.5, my newspapers were not saved. Checking
the word count in my Washington Post, the paper in my INBOX
contained 53708 words. The item saved to my compact flash card
contained 15 words. I saved my papers to the compact flash card
as I've always done: space with s, then backspace twice to select
a drive. Using backspace with x, I selected my file type and
pressed the enter key. I was prompted to choose between opening
the document or not, after saving. Pressing the enter key, I let
the machine beep until I'm returned to the paper in the INBOX.
Imagine my surprise when I found no papers on the compact flash
card today. Th process has allowed me to save my papers for more
than two years, and now I discover I won't be able to use this
method with Keysoft 7.5.
Af upgrading to Keysoft 7.5, in order to save my paper I was
required to copy it to the clip board, create a file, and then
paste my paper in that file for later reading. W a patch be
created to allow us to save documents using the process I
described above again? To have to copy documents from the INBOX
to the clipboard and then paste them into a file on a card in the
word processor seems to have moved at least one operation back
four or five years, or before Keysoft 4.0. I've discovered a few
things in Keysoft 7.5 that are useful to me, and I really
appreciate HumanWare's effort to make this all possible, but I
don't consider having to copy and paste things from my INBOX to
my word processor acceptable. Al, copying and pasting long
documents from the INBOX to the word processor is time consuming
and depending on the document's length copying and pasting may
not be possible. Please let me know that someone is working on a
fix for this, and the fix will not be part of the next upgrade.
Thank you,
Sammie Clay

There is an interesting thing about 7.5. For those of us who
have always moved our saved email to another drive and folder, at
this time, it cannot be done. There is no readable information.
