Hello,
I don't suppose it would be a great big problem to use braille one "FOR a while," but I am very fluent in braille two and happen to enjoy writing my documents in it. However, even though using braille one may be as you say, only a minor inconvenience, I don't think I'm amiss when I bring this translation problem to Humanware's attention. Al, all features that are offered with these devices should work properly, that's what you paid for. Whenever anyone asks me why I would recommend the brailleNote, one of its biggest selling points, in my opinion, is the things offered in the Information List you can find by pressing I chord from the main menu. ac to that list, among the BrailleNote's many great features (and I assume a promise from the manufacturer that it will work correctly) is: Translation (c) Copyright 1975 to 200, Duxbury System, Inc. X's worked pretty good up to this point, so I don't feel that I should have to revert to braille one now when taking notes, corresponding with friends or business associates, doing my school work, or writing to this list. Therefore, I feel a patch should be created as soon as humanly possible for those of us who enjoy writing in braille two and reading it with our fingers. B, if you are enamored with braille one, I won't stand in your way, please use it and you don't need my permission to do so.

Hello, Maybe it's just me, but is it sutch a problem to have to
use grade one for a while? I can understand having to wait for the next release of ks, but it's just grade one! Come on! Just my opinion.

Hello Sharon,
I'm not doing anything to make the translations come out
correct. I just type my work using Braille two, because I find
it fast and usually accurate. I sincerely wish that I knew what
to do about this translation problem, because I'm no technology
guru and when I see a copy of my work and it looks as if I just
wrote it without caring how it looked or sounded, I'm very upset.
Wh is the reason I wrote to Mr. Sloane in the first place.
While I'm willing to live with a few minor inconveniences, such
as poor recording play back, very poor radio reception, and games
I have no earthly use for; I do expect my BrailleNote to give me
flawless translations of what I write. ally would think that all
users, after composing their documents and spending the time it
takes to proof-read, edit, ensure correct spelling and
punctuation, and making sure that all sentences were structurally
correct and understandable, would like to know that the
recipients received them as they were written. T's my opinion of
course, and I hope I won't have to live alone with it.
I noticed a few messages received yesterday and last night
which gave work-arounds to solve this problem, however, I think
that the users of these products deserve better solutions than
work-arounds. I'm sure that nobody would purchase, or ride in, a
vehicle in which the driver had to do "Work-arounds" to make the
brakes or steering work while traveling on a super highway. The
manufacturer of such a vehicle would do massive recalls to fix
the problem or would shortly find that they no longer had a
business. I'm not suggesting that HumanWare recall the devices
which have been upgraded to Keysoft 7.5, but that they emulate
the Sendero programmers and provide instant patches when problems
are discovered. Sendero 4.0 was released in mid July and to date
the company has become aware of, and provided two patches. In
less than sixty days, they've moved us from 4.0 to 4.2 and I
don't think any of the users even knew that a fix was needed. A
humanWare dealer-demonstrator told me that Doctor Mander and his
hierarchy welcomes our in-put when we discover problems and would
like to hear from us so that the products can be improved, thus
remaining the number one PDA for the visually impaired community.
I hope he is right and our comments are taken to heart and fixes
are provided as soon as humanly possible.

Sammie,
How are you making your translation come out right. I know you
saw in my post that mine didn't come out totally right.
 Thanks in advance.
