Ottawa Canada In speaking with Tech Support at Humanware, Concord, California, on Friday, August 31, it was explained to me that the Mpower cannot presently use SDHC cards in the SD card slot because these cards were not being designed or produced when the Mpower was designed, and thus the SD Card Reader on the Mpower cannot accommodate SDHC cards.
However it was mentioned that SDHC cards are often provided with a little adapter that lets you plug them into a USB port and they work just fine on the Mpower with their USB adapter. The Mpower considers them to be a Hard Disk. This is for Maurice and others at Humanware: Q: Would it be workable to start installing SDHC Card Readers on the Mpower and to offer to retrofit older Mpower units with SDHC Card Readers as they are sent in for routine service such as Braille Display cleaning and repair, battery replacement etc? I'm not sure how much re-design of the Mpower or its software this would involve. Just a thought and a wish for the Wishing Well at this time. Brian Brian K.
