Just a bit of clarification: there are only 2 host ports (USB ports that accept devices) on the mPower. I am sure it was just a typo, but wanted to head off any confusion. I am still using my 1gb thumb drive (can't remember the brand) with no problems at all, and a 4gb U3 drive from Sandisk works just fine (though I haven't tried opening anything as there is only a .mov file on it at the moment.)

Have a great day,
Alex

drive

Dear Gianni and list:

Interesting KeySoft 7.5 build 17 is wiping your USB thumb drive
in the process of recognizing it.

This may sound strange, but have you tried another USB port?

You might want to try say the top, middle then bottom USB ports
and see if they all wipe the drive or the problem is only with
one particular port.

I have a little 2 GB USB Thumb Drive in my BN QT 32 with KS 7.5
Build 17 and it reads the drive ok.

Uh let me actually try it! Come to think of it, I think I only
tried using the USB drive under KS 7.2 build 47.

Just a moment.

Well KS 7.5 Build 17 recognized my USB drive and let me do a
directory of it.

And when I tried to open a text file I think had been attached to
an e-mail, it locked up my Mpower when I tried to exit back to
main menu!

A simple reset got me going again.

While I've plugged in and removed things from a PC and other
devices for years, I personally find inserting a USB drive into
one of the USB ports on the BrailleNote Mpower exacting work.
