Hi folks, In a thread with subject "future of braillenote" the writer comments about the current upgrade isn't worth the money. The truth, and the maddening thing is that, whether we find upgrades useful or no, we have only two choices if we want to move forward. We can pay for the future by getting an sma, or we can wait, and pay the full price for the upgrade we still feel is not worth it so that we can have the privelege of paying for the sma or the upgrade we do find useful. I hate being required to pay for something I don't find useful so that I can get through to pay for something I do find useful. I find it quite manipulative and I deeply admire companies who respect their customers enough not to goug them. Companies such as Kurzweil, who only 6equire you to pay for the current upgrade to become current are to be commended. If I don't need a particular feature, or if I can't afford the upgrade, I can wait. When the next one comes around, I can upgrade for a flat fee, to the latest version. uPgrades are, currently, $125 for k100 whether you are upgrading consecutively, or skipping a version or two. Sorry for the rant, but we are tied in to an upgrade path. We bought in and most of us agree that our bn's a great tool, but we don't have to love the upgrade path. Rusty
