Well, grin, I'll certainly agree with you as far as HumanWare needing to fix
their customer management and PR issues. As for their upgrade policy; well,
it is kind of hard to say for sure.

I agree it is maddening to have to pay for an upgrade where you won't use
very many of the features. But, on the other hand, HW does allow one to
purchase the SMA that gives the two upgrades for the price of one. And,
too, if lots of folks skipped a particular upgrade or two, then how would
that effect HW's profit margin, and thus its ability to produce future
upgrades?

I agree with you completely. I don't see why KS 8 requires you
to already have KS7.5; unless there is some software thing in KS
that requires it, there is no reason the new rom image needs the
old one to run. I would have kept 7.2 and not missed a thing in
7.5 except that I already had the SMA and saw no reason to not
upgrade, but if I had had to pay for 7.5 to get it I am not sure
I would have. As we all know, however, the problem then becomes
upgrading past 7.5, which is the point in the first place. HW
needs to, in my opinion, reconsider a lot of the practices they
employ as far as customer management, PR, and product development
go. There is my 2 cents.

Have a great day,
Alex
