(I meant to send this to the whole list, just in case others have this problem, but it went directly to sharonda, so here it is) Hi, You did set up Pop3 on your gmail account from their web site first, right?
E-mail is one of those tricky things. Some ISP's allow you to access other services, and some don't without changing the "requires authentication" setting. So, first, if you have the smtp set to does not require authentication, change it to yes. If you have it set to yes, change it to no. Then see what happens. Then, if that doesn't work, remove the Cox account and see if gmail works by itself. If it does, then there is a problem in the Cox account. If it doesn't, then remove gmail and setup the Cox account again, and see if it works. If it does, then you know something is wrong with the gmail account. If neither works, then you need to talk with your ISP and see if there is yet another obscure port setting required, or what. If none of that works, then it may be the BrailleNote having problems. Then you get to tell all what you've tried to Humanware and see if they can figure out what else is going on. Good luck with that.
