No, you can actually create Word documents with this feature. Trust me, I 
tried it. In the file name prompt, press space with x until Microsoft Word 
document is displayed. I'll try this out again, but I remember that it 
worked. Hope that helps.

The BrailleNote doesn't create Word documents, even wit the export feature.
These documents are actually rich text format.
