Ah right, that's clear now, thanks for pointing that out, greatly
appreciated. Weird "bug" I have to say.

Hi Terri:

You are correct. While you will have an export option that says
"Microsoft Word Document," and while you will get a file with a .doc
extension that can be opened in Microsoft word, if you open that file in
word, go to the file menu and press enter on Save As, then tab to the
files of type item, you'll see "Rich Text Format." This is why when you
do export something to Microsoft Word, you need to go into Save As off
the file menu of word, tab to the Files of Type, then arrow up to Word
Document, tab to the save button and press enter. You'll get a message
asking if you want to convert the document to a word document, press Y
and you'll have it saved as a legitimate word document.

Another way you can tell that the docs are rich text is if you look at
the file size. Word documents are at least 20K in size. For smaller
documents like letters that I export, they are usually under 10K.
