Hi all,
<smiling sardonically> Of course the BN chokes on the archive! I
would too, if I were a BN, forced to place thousands of lines of
requoted material into my memory. The BN is a notetaker, not a PC
with two gigs of memory that can buffer and deal with the midden
created by uncaring and selfish and self centered people!! You wanna
search this midden for pearls, you better find a PC with two gigs or
more of RAM and a buffering system. Don't ask a BN to deal with
*this* problem. You created it, folks, nobody else did. Now you're
whining and complaining. Good! It will teach you a lesson, hope it
sticks! Probably won't though.
Now you're asking the Humanware staff to clean up the mess you've
made. That, folks, isn't fair. It really isn't! You keep
overquoting, no BN, no matter what version can deal with this. It's
not a BN problem. It's a people problem. Humanware staff will be
kind and say they're looking into the problem, but they won't tell you
it's your fault because they're too polite. I'm not polite, and I
call things as I see them. The very least you can do is to quit
overquoting now so that the exponential growth of the archive will be
slowed down by some seventy-five percent or more. Just a graphic
example, in case anyone doesn't get it. The message to which I am
replying had three previous messages tacked onto it, three!
