It does sound odd to me. If she is sure she never did anything to damage the port, it has to be HW's fault and they should take responsibility for it.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] worenty question

Hi all,

I have a question about my friends worenty for her braille note
mpower.
She just found out the usb port was dammaged for some reason.
Now, she
talked to someone at our ohio dealer and they said that the usb
ports can
not be dammaged unless the unit is dropped which has not hapened.
They
also tolder her at humanware that the repare was not covered on
her
worenty. Someone at the ulva is checkking this out to see what
is going
on. My questionis Does any one think that this sound fishy to
you. It
does not make sence to me at all. If some one could clear this
up for me
that would be a great idea. I think she is being forsed to pay
money for a
repare that does not make any sence to me what so ever. Thanks
again for
reading thias lankthy message. I just would like to make sure
that my
friend is not getting scamed by some kind of repare that should
take no
time at all. I'm not sure that it has any thing to do with the
eset
problems sh was habing before she sent it in.

Matthew
