Hi,

I am using an MPower bt, and I changed the right margin to 60, then pressed space with s as you suggested. Nothing happened. Then I pressed space with e to exit, and the message "Confirm Changes?" was displayed. I pressed y. When back in the body of the message, I went back to the format menu under layout, and it showed Right Margin 0, (unchanged) I also tried saving my settings by using backspace with S, but to no avail!

Hello,
What type of keyboard are you using?
If you are using a braille keyboard, when you go and change the right margin, before exiting, you need to press space with s to save the settings, then when you exit out, it will say save the settings, press y and you will find that the settings will be set. If you are using a qty keyboard, you would do the same only using contrl with s.
Let me know if that helps,

Robert Stigile

Hi Robert,

Thanks so much for answering my message. I am in paragraph mode.
I went
into the format menu from within my message and changed my right
margin to
60. I then pressed enter, and then e with space to get back to
my edit
field. My husband said there was no change in the look of the
message I
then sent him. I opened a new message and went back into my
format menu.
It showed that my margin was unchanged. I'm sure there's just
one small
thing I'm overlooking somewhere, but for the life of me I can't
figure out
what it is. I did everything I thought I should do according to
the
contextual help. Any other thoughts?

A Very Frustrated Desi

Hello,
I don't know if this will help or not, but you might want to go
into your
settings and make sure your layout mode is set to paragraphs.
When you chanhe your right or left margins, or any other
setting, before
you exit out of the settings, you need to save the settings, or
they will
not take affect.
Hth,

Robert Stigile

Subject: [Braillenote] Using the BN to send e-mail messages

Hi Everyone,

I sent a message about this the other day, but didn't get any
responses. I know that many folks were away celebrating
Thanksgiving, so
am trying this again, in hopes that someone will have an answer
to my
question. Recently, we got a wireless router, so I decided to
set up a
connection with my BrailleNote. I set up my e-mail, and have
had no
trouble sending or receiving, but my sighted husband pointed out
to me,
after I sent him a message, that my messages are appearing in
short little
lines about 10 characters long. To me, they don't appear that
way on my
BN. I'm wondering what I can do so that each line of my
messages can be
longer than 10 characters in length? I went into the format
menu and
tried to change my right margin, thinking that might help, but
either the
change didn't really take, or it didn't seem to make any
difference. Can
anyone help me with this? I don't know if it could be a
transmition
problem of some kind? I read through the entire e-mail chapter
in the BN
user's guide, and couldn't seem to find anything which addresses
this.
Thanks for any help you can give.
