I see what you mean; backspace is the key you normally use for things like that just as enter is normally used for shortcuts in the options menu (stopwatch, time, date, spell...). I have never heard it refered to as the control key, but I see what you are saying now.

Alex you asked why someone would need a control key on the bt key
board.  When I was learning how to use a bn I learned on a bt.  I
was taught the the control key was mainly used in edetting
documents in the word processor.  If someone needs something
centered and stuff like that.  I don't recall the command though
off hand.
