Hi, I call a space a space and a backspace a backspace. I understand when the word chord was used, on those devices there were no backspace or enter keys, this is why they came up with the word chord. it was an easy way to say space with O. You could just say O chord.
Now that devices have backspace and enter keys I think they should be said in those terms as to not confuse people. When training someone if a trainer says O chord, what's that, is it O with space, O with enter, or O with backspace? ?Then the trainer needs to take time out and keep reminding the student that chord miens space. It's just easier to say space O. it's still the same amount of characters. See my point. even newer devices like the BrailleSense and VoiceSense use space enter and backspace when describing commands.
