Ottawa Canada Dear Terry, Sharon and list:
Well while I don't believe Humanware is prepared to let you pay them money toward a Braille display transplant ahead of time, you certainly could bank the money say in a special bank account reserved for money towards access technology repairs and if your unit requires servicing, raid the account to either pay for it in full or just in part. I've had comments from other list members that they are strongly of the opinion that Tieman Braille displays are more reliable than KGS displays, although Tieman displays are significantly more noisy. Guess it comes down to whether you think German or Japanese engineers and workmen build better things. German designed and built products are generally of excellent quality, but you do pay good money for this quality. Japan also makes some excellent products. Brian Brian K.
