Hi list,
A number of list members have voiced their concerns about the
BrailleNote's handling of some MS Word files, and the lack of support
for complex formatting in some of these documents.
Humanware has always seemed to be the staple for many students and
professionals, and I assume this is due in large part for
BrailleNote's ease of use. However, Humanware needs to re-establish
its hold by opening up Keysoft to the more complex formatting and
language support that is so obviously lacking.
On the other hand, there seems to be no notetaking device at present
which can do all of this satisfactorily. On speaking with Freedom
Scientific, I was left feeling that formating was on their list of
concerns.
