Thanks, Kevin. Are there any problems with using a card this large? Is it better to use an 8 gig or 4? I thought I'd get a large card, then I'd have no problem loading books onto it, books I want to keep, that is, and the books that you'd play on the MP3 player take up a lot of room, right? Hmmm, what kind of files are they anyhow, and does one have to rename them to use them in the BN PK?
Thanks
Alice

Alice,

I know many who are using CompactFlash cards that are 16GB in capacity. I have seen a handful of brands to work including SanDisk, PNY, Transcend, A-Data, and I am sure I am forgetting a few here and there. But, there shouldn't be any problems using a card of
that caapacity on the PK.

Subject: [Braillenote] 16 gig cf card from flash memory store

Hi, everybody,
Will the PK support a card of this size? Are such big cf cards more unstable than smaller ones? The price is $88, whihch sounds
pretty good for that much space, right?
I also have a question that I should be able to figure out from the help manual on the PK, but... how can I back up the address book and the planner from the flash drive in the PK so I do not lose that data as I did when my BN
Classic got corrupted?
I keep getting conflicting info about how to do this...
thanks.
Alice
