Jan, The Stream has the ability to play Audible, NLS,. And RFB&D titles, which the BrailleNote is not able to play Audible or NLS and not sure about the Book Courier. The Stream has the ability to use SDHC cards, which come as large as 16GB at the moment and 32GB is expected some time this year or next year. The Stream is able to play text, HTML, and XML files without any issues. We can't forget the extremely high quality compressed recording that is available. It records all of its recording in a 3GP format, which allows for hundreds of hours of recording that take up very little space. I can go on and on about all of the features. In the soon to be released 1.2 firwmare, there will be support for NISO and bass/treble control when listening to music along with a built-in SD card formatting utility that is done correctly according to the SD card association. The Stream is also able to accept the NLS cartridges and USB external storage devices. There is so much more that the Stream is able to do in this very easy to user/learn package and at a very good price.

Through keymail I receive magazines from TNAUK, which I can read on my braillenote mpower with the fix of making the files into a bks file then converting tyhem to text files to read them. I am going on holiday at the weekend and am reluctant to take my notetaker with me abroad due to the possibility of it being damaged or lost, therefore, I am wanting to read the files I have put on my sd card with the book courier which I also have. I was under the impression that the book courier read text files but when I load the sd card and try to read the files it says not able to acc3ess unfiltered files. Does anyone know what that means and can I do anything with these files on my braillenote to make them readable on the book courier? Your help in this matter would be appreciated. Another question: I was wondering about possibly buy a Victor Stream from Humanware but can someone tell me - other than the portability of the Stream, if it can do any more than either my braillenote or book courie. Your expertise would be appreciated. Thanks for reading and considering these matters. Jan. ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
