Ottawa Canada Dear Stacey and list:
You may purchase a serial cable from any computer store. If it is a normal serial cable (doesn't say it is a null modem cable) you will need a null modem adapter as well, you want a 9 pin one and a double female gender bender (also 9 pin). This is assuming the serial port on the USB to serial adapter is a 9 pin connector. If it is 25 pin, you will want a 25 to 9 pin adapter as well. Some stores sell adapters that do more than one thing, e. g. combined 9 to 25 pin and null modem adapter. You would want to check the specs for the USB to serial adapter to see what sort of serial connector it has. Canon DB-9 is a 9 pin; Canon DB-25 is 25 pin. Hope this helps. Time for breakfast!
