Hi,
I am using a BN BT32 running 7.5.28.
While trying to sort out some databases, I came across an odd
thing.
What I did was use File Directory to look through the folder
where I keep databases.
I looked for "All files" so I could see both the definitions and
cdb files.
I copied, (using <backspace>y), a definitions file to another
folder.
(The BN said 1 file copied).
Then with KeyWord I went to that other folder to open the
definitions file, using <space>x twice to see all files, picked
the one I wanted and entered it.
When I had finished, I came out making no change.
Sometime later, I used File Directory listing all files on the
folder where I had put the copy of the definitions file.
I could see it but not the .cdb file--(as expected).
So I used <backspace>c to erase it.
Then, going back up the list by one file, I spotted the .cdb
file--it had suddenly appeared.
I erased that too.
I have done this twice now so am sure the .cdb file isn't there
in the list before I erase it's associated definitions file.
This is confusing, and you don't need any extra confusion when
throwing around databases.
Regards,
Steve.
