Hi Karen,

As I understand it, you would be able to use the card reader to access the files on the laptop, but they probably would not make any sense. The laptop would not know what to do with a file in "Braille" format. What you could do is to copy one of those files from the card, using your card reader, on to the Del, and open the copy on the laptop.
See what it makes of it if anything.

You should be able to use text or Word files between the two.
I believe you could use the export or translate to change your files from Braille to text, but that won't help much, because when you suddenly want to translate them, that's the time when your BN is not available.

Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] question:

I have a brief question. If my braillenote went down, I have
things stored on my compact flash card in braille format. How
could I get this onto my Del laptop so would not lose these
files? Thanks. Karen and Harpo I'm still working through things,
very new to all of this. Appologies for not knowing. can I use
the card reader I have to do this? Also
