Joseph, Just who the hell you think you are? Are you having problems with your BN and are unable to delete email that you don't want to read. If you don't want to discuss any issues that have been brought up before, just delete the stupid email and be done with it? Is it that hard to do? Does someone need to teach you how to delete unwanted emails? I'm sure someone would be happy to. John said that he hadn't been on the list for some time so that was the reason for him asking the question. If you can't give a polite or decent answer to future questions, just "Don't respond and delete the email." I didn't notice that Alex agreed and Brian doesn't work for Humanware. So far as someone selling their BN, maybe they're more satisfied with their new equipment.

Hi John and list, I have something to comment regardingthis and other similarthreads. But before I do this, here isthe short answer: wedon't know. According to history,HumanWare has mentioned thefeature set of new upgrades towards therelease time in order tothwart competition. Here are some comments regarding thiswhole thread:Throughout the history of the list, ithad a dradition of somepeople posting the same question: "whatwill be included in thenext upgrade?" We have repeatedly said,"we don't know; HumanWarewill release it in the end," but somepeople have iggored this. Also, after answering this question, someone would say, "then whydon't HumanWare just release it and bedone with it?" Again, theanswer was, "HumanWare, like othercompanies, fear that othercompanies would try to mimicBrailleNote's features." - which didhappen and vice versa (I'm talking aboutBookshare unpack tooland other such features.). More thanone person has answeredthis question, but the question keepscoming back to "haunt" thelist, producing a negative atmospherewhere some people have soldtheir BrailleNotes to get betterproducts from other companies;you might have noticed that about two tothree (and sometimesfour) people have sold their BrailleNoteto migrate to acompetetor's product, as it happenedwith one of the sellers(I've seen this person over at acompetetor's list before). So here's my opinion about this wholesituation here: if morethan one person gave the answer, then itis the answer. Brianrepeatedly said that HumanWare does notdiscuss new featuresuntil the product is about to bereleased; so did Kevin, Alex, myself and others. Since at least threepeople agree here, Ithink it could be treated as an"official" answer, meaning twothings: first, there's no point todiscuss this further (once aproblem has been solved, there's no needto report about itanymore (unless it is a faulty equipmentor software)); second,if this kind of question (even if it iscaused by curiosity) isrepeatedly asked, then the users wouldfeel that HumanWare issomewhat secretive (sorry for using thisterm here) - in otherwords, the users would think thatHumanWare is not listening whenin fact HW staff is carefully listeningto suggestions, complaints and comments from users(creating a false negativeenvironment). These are my comments about all these"new features" threads thathas been circulating on this list for awhile. If you havesomething to say, please write to me offlist (use my Blind Seaaccount). Cheers, Joseph
