Alice:
You can sync your address list on your PC, if you are using Outlook. If
the loaner unit is running the same version of Key soft, then you can
copy your address list to it, but be careful not to accidently copy
over someone else's address list.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] backing up the address book

Hi, everybody, again,
this is getting very confusing. I called Humanware and found out that I
had to go through some directory route with space t a couple of times,
and there was the file with the .cdb file. It is there, but I can not
read it or open it from the cf card. I did not hear anything about the
definition file, and I did not see it listed, either.
I was told the only way I can access that information without having
the flash drive right there with the address book on it was to copy the
whole file *by hand* onto my computer. An enormous and tedious task to
say the least. I can perhaps get a loaner BN of some description while
mine is off having the battery changed, but even so, I can't read my
address book, and I need that info.
Any suggestions? If it's on the cf card and the cf card is in a BN,
why can't I read the thing?
Alice
