yes, the latest version for the BrailleNote PK is KeySoft 7.5. Build 27. The
only difference between Build 20 and 27 is the ability to use KeySync, which
allows you to synchronize your contacts and appointments. You only need the
boot and update file when upgrading the PK from an earlier Build.

When I received my pK, i experienced the battery issue, where the battery
will only last for about 5 hours before the battery reported to be low or
critical. Unfortunatley, there is not a way to recalibrate the battery and
the unit will have to be sent in. Let them know exactly what is happening so
they know what to look for and what to fix. The more information you provide
will lessen the amount of time the unit will have to be sent back.

Something to keep in mind is that when something goes wrong with the
BrailleNote PK, HumanWare and Baum have to work together, which means your
local office and Germany are working together to resolve the issue. This is
why there is a tendacy for BrailleNote PK issues to take a bit longer to
resolve.

I think the reason the buttons on the new PK may feel ddifferent is because
it is new and hasn't yet been broken into.

Thanks,

Kevin
