Hi John and list,
A Service Reset is, indhed, the ultimate reset that is somewhat more fatal than 4-5-6 Reset. When you press Reset with Record button, not oquicky dots 4-5-6 Reset is carried out, but also essential hardware is reinitialized, such as clock, braille display and battery. None of the data on Flash will be erased.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Service Reset for the m Power?

Hello,

I have a friend whose m Power doesn't respond to any of the
standard resets. I remember someone mentioning a service reset, which I believe uses the record button.

Can someone tell me what it is, and does this reset erase any
data from the flash disk?

Thanks in advance
John
