Actually, most of these things aren't specific to the PK and are
generalizeable.

See answers below.

Subject: [Braillenote] pk isssues

Hi everyone,

I admit I'm being a bit time-saving (ok potentially lazy) here, piggybacking
off the experience of regular pk users - on behalf of a student of mine who
is running KS 6.26 on their pk I ask:

1. Is BlueTooth or Wireless connection for sending email and connecting to
KeyWeb more reliable?
-Wireless is much faster and more reliable as the Bluetooth on the mPower
and pK isn't from Windows and was a hack put together by HumanWare.
2. Through "active sync" with a "guest connection" how is email sent i.e.
can it be sent independent on an active sync connection?
-Yes, i would recommend doing this via a USB connection. You would have to
create a new connection configuration by doing the following:
SPACE with O for the KeySoft Options Menu
C for the Connectivity Menu
C to Create a New Dial-Up or LAN Connection
At the, "Connection Configuration Name?" prompt, input something meaningful
that will allow for you to recognize this connection being the ActiveSync
one.
At the, "Device to use?" prompt, press SPACE with dots 34 until, "ethernet
network connection" appears.
Press ENTER, you have now configured all you need and can press SPACE with E
to Exit and Save.
At the prompt, "Add this record?" press Y for Yes
Now when using KeyWeb or KeyMail select this particular connection when
wanting to use an ActiveSync connection.
3. How does one send email simply by connecting the pk to a pc via the usb
port?
-This is achieved in in the same manner as you would send email normally
using KeyMail but would just have to specify the ActiveSync connection when
requested for the connection to use.
4. Is it more efficient to invoke terminal-mode if active sync is not
enabled and, if so, how does email get sent?
-Terminal mode is use when you are wanting the device to be used as a
Braille Display for the PC.
Thank you for making me more time-efficient as I'm not familiar with the pk
and I know those of you'all who have one will do such a good job of
explaining.
-That is what this list is for.
