Hi Andy,
Sory for the lateness of the response...
Yes, its got something to do with microphone volume. The default is 42 DB. I
personally find that the best recording volume is between 29 and 39 DB.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Decible level in recording memos

Hi all,
I sent this to the list a few days ago and am not sure if it went to the
list so I'm sending it again.

I was playing around with the record player on the brailleNote. I found I
could change the decible level. just wanting clarification, is the decible
level something to do with the recording volume? How does it differ from the
microphone volume?

Also, what is the default recording level? I think at the moment, I have it
set to 45 DB.
Is there a recommendation people have as to the best recording level for
the best quality possible?
hope this makes sense.
thanks in advance,
from Andrew
