hi,
i notice that the manual on the pk refers to recording with an
external microphone, although there isn't an actual mic socket,
and it doesn't actually give you that option in the menu, but
it's slightly curious.
i suppose it's just that a bit of the manual from the m-power
wasn't altered to take account of the difference between the
m-power and pk.
regards, richard.

Hi John,
1. When I was at the media menu, I pressed R for record a memo.
2. Keysoft said: start recording using internal microphone?
3. Here, I pressed space with either dot 3 or 6 to move through
the
different decible settings.
4. To read the current level, I pressed space with both dots 3
and 6.
hope that helps, and thanks for replying.

Hi Andrew and list
I did see your message last time but I did the usual thing and
assumed
that someone else would respond.
For clarification I'd like to know which braillenote you have
and exactly
where you found the settings you mention. I have an Mpower and
in the
media menu I see
Media player
Record a memo
Playback memo
FM radio
set up options
I don't see a record player, and although I can find "Recording
options"
under set up options, I can't find anything about decibels.
If you could let me know where you are that would help me to
respond
properly.
Talk soon

Hi all,
I sent this to the list a few days ago and am not sure if it went
to the
list so I'm sending it again.
I was playing around with the record player on the brailleNote.
I found I
could change the decible level. just wanting clarification, is
the decible
level something to do with the recording volume? How does it
differ from
the
microphone volume?
Also, what is the default recording level? I think at the moment,
I have
it
set to 45 DB.
Is there a recommendation people have as to the best recording
level for
the best quality possible?
hope this makes sense.
thanks in advance,
from Andrew
