Hi Shaz,
I used to have an occasional speech distortion problem but with
Eloquence.
What fixed that was turning the speech volume down in the review
voice under options.
Regards,
Steve.

Hi, it's not a stutter, it is all the time. It is like a
crackling, like when you get when your radio isn't tuned properly
to the station. It is really hard to understand some of the time
and it is funny because it is only with the keynote speech not
the other. I have tried a reset and it hasn't helped.
I'm open to any other suggestions because it is driving me mad.

Hi:
Are you referring to the stutter? After years of BrailleNotes
I've come to like it - perhaps crazy in my own way!
For me it seems to be a memory problem and if it gets annoying I
do a simple reset by pushing the little recessed button in with a
pen or stylus and BINGO problem solved.

Subject: [Braillenote] I have my new PK and now problems with my
MPowerplease help.
Hi, I picked up my new PK from a Humanware member who was in town
for a display on Friday. So far so good but most people would
know my track record with PK's so I don't want to speak too soon.
Now for my main reason for this message. I love using the
keynote
speech on my MPower but over the last few days it has gone funny.
By this I mean it is all static sounding. I showed it to the
humanware person and they said that it happens to their machine
every so often so I didn't think much of it but that night it got
worst. I am currently using eloquence but it can't keep up with
my typing speed so it is driving me up the wall but it sounds
fine. So I figure it isn't something to do with the speaker it
is
something to do with the keysoft voice.
So has anyone else had a similar problem and more important can
anyone suggest a fix? If not I will have to use the PK most of
the time but I like when I need to type something quickly to use
the QT keyboard so this is why I use the MPower.
Hope to get some helpful suggestions soon or this eloquence voice
will drive be totally mad, and I am already half way there so not
to far to drive now.
