Hi all,

Has anyone had to replace a battery on a braillenote qt32 recently?
If so, what is the approximate cost?

I realize the best answer to this question is directly from
Humanware, but their telephone system is really nearly impossible
and extremely irritating to use these days.

I haven't had to interface directly with them for some time and am
really quite shocked and disappointed at the state of things.

I called humanware and customer service to find out the price for
battery replacement. I was told they didn't have that information
even though I said I was looking for an estimate, not an exact
quote. They transferred me to tech support.

While you are on hold, you are bombarded by a constant and
repeating ad for their equipment. In most situations you do get
these adds, but they are not continuous and only appear every few
minutes or so. But, at humanware it is a constant babble and
really becomes hard on the nerves in a short time. When you're
already frustrated by the inability to obtain some simple
information, the constant babble progresses from a major annoyance
to a serious irritation.

The phone interface used to be relatively warm and fuzzy, but it
sure isn't now.

Sorry for the significant rant, but I really would like to find out
approximately how much a battery replacement will cost before
sending in the unit.

That seems like a rather simple request to me.

Thanks for reading,

Don
