Go to the options menu. Go through the keyboard settings menu, setting things back to your preferred grade, then the same with the braille display options. Use space-3-4 to move through the options at the grade prompts, or use b for grade 2, a for grade 1, or j for computer letterl (think of it as grade 0).

Subject: [Braillenote] computer braille only on my BN

Hi List
  I have two BN's, and one of them is only accepting entries in
computer braille.  The problem started up last night when I was
experimenting with the recording gain level for the internal and
external microphone.  Do you have any suggestions, other than
resets (all 4 types) because I have tried those already.
