Hi:
Sadly you will need a computer to read any complex MS
Word documents. The BrailleNote is a PDA and many
mobile devices have trouble with complex MS Word
documents. Humanware has promised that they will come
out with a working version - a promise made years ago.
You may use a computer to change the documents into RTF
or txt files and move them to the BrailleNote to work
on.

Subject: [Braillenote] Question about reading of ms

Hi all. I am receiving ms word documents from my
professor, but
it seems I can't read them. Sometimes they'll come
through, but
the german umlauts will not. Other times they won't
come through
at all. They are in the doc withmat. Can anyone help
explain
what's going on here? I have the latest verssion of

Thanks!
