Hi Kate, Well, they are interchangeable - in other words, there's no order in which you buy the card. If you are planning to use Ethernet, my suggestion is to buy a network router first (a router is a device which allows multiple computers to connect to a single DSL connection). Then buy the Ethernet card from HumanWare. I have a website called BrailleNote PBWiki (located at braillenote.pbwiki.com) which has vast resources on BrailleNote, including the answer to your question about setting up an Internet connection. Cheers, Joseph P.S. Could you mind introduce ourself (like who exactly you are and what you do, along with the kind of BrailleNOte you have and KeySoft version)? Thanks.

I have never set up an internet connection myself, so forgive me if these questions are really insanely basic and easy. I have internet access through my desktop computer, its a DSL connection through verizon. So, it says something about getting information from my ISP, which I assume is then verizon. What info do I need and is this usually done via telephone, like, do I call them and ask them for information or do I basically not need to worry about that if I am already connected with my other computer? Should I just plug the ethernet cord in and should that work? I haven't tried as much yet because I have to go get an ethernet card first. Any suggestions of ones that are compatible? I do have wireless connectivity at home since I used to have a laptop computer, so if I just got a WI-FI adapter card, would that work by itself without an ethernet card? Are those two things interchangeable or do I need an ethernet card before I can add a WI-FI adapter card? I found this list of wireless cards that are supposedly compatible, but have read in various places some of these don't work so well, does anyone use any particular kind, either of the ones listed here or another kind, and have good reviews? 1. SanDisk Connect Plus CF WiFi + 128MB Memory card 2. Ambicom WL1100C-CF revision 2 only (serial number WL2342xxxxxxxx) 3. Meritline MWL-672 Wireless LAN 11b Compact 4. Dlink DCF-660W, Wireless Ethernet Adapter, 11Mbps, 802.11b, Compact Flash 5. Symbol Spectrum NetWLAN 6. Linksys WCF12 Wireless CompactFlash Card 7. NetGear MA701, Wireless Ethernet Adapter,11Mbps, 802.11b,CompactFlash II Do any of the faster ones like the D's work in the braille note? Do the USB connected wireless adapters work? Thanks in advance for any and all pointers tips help and/or advice, Kate _________________________________________________________________ Want to do more with Windows Live?
